International Exchange Festival
The International Exchange Festival was held on October 1st.
The international students and members of various associations took part in the Ground Golf Tournament in the morning. Kids took part in recreational games with foreign friends.
It was the first time for some of the international students playing Ground Golf but they gave it their best shot after receiving pointers from the members of the various associations. They even managed to score a hole in one!
Afternoon events included the prize giving ceremony for the Ground Golf Tournament and the International Karaoke Contest. A student from the Nissho Gakuen International High School won the top prize for the contest.
Next, there was a dance session with two dancers from Colombia and Tanzania who did salsa dancing and tribal dancing. Both are residents of Miyazaki Prefecture. Spirits were high as all danced together to the beat.
In the outdoor grounds, 20 vendors set up stalls for the flea market. There were food and beverages, wooden trinkets, handmade accessories, quick massage services and various interesting booths.
Indoors, we had the 'World's Rarest Finds' exhibition and also exhibits by the Miyazaki International Exchange Association and Kobayashi International Exchange Support Association.
Despite the difference in nationalities, the International Exchange Centre aims to forge deeper friendships by bringing people together through participation in the festival.
